Vehicle Fire Slows Traffic On Route 100 In Chester County (Photos)

Firefighters in West Whiteland responded to Route 100 Thursday morning, Nov. 2 after a car caught fire on the highway, officials said.

It happened just north of the Exton Bypass near the intersection with Bartlett Avenue around 9:30 a.m., according to the Fire Company. 

Photos from the scene showed visible flames emerging from the car's tire wells and undercarriage and thick, black smoke reaching skyward. 

Crews controlled traffic while battling the blaze and firefighters were able to clear the scene by 10:30 a.m., the Fire Company said. 

No injuries were reported by authorities.
